We are excited to announce the Verandah HOA 2nd Annual Fishing Derby, scheduled for Saturday, October 4th, 2025, at the main pond adjacent to the pool house on Bayberry Drive.

Registration

• Open to children ages 4 through 17.
• Registration is available exclusively online through the community website.
• Deadline: Friday, October 3, at 3:00 p.m.

Event Details & Rules

• Check-in: Begins at 9:00 a.m and total fishing time will be from 9am - 12pm

• Age Groups & Awards:

o Minnows (ages 4–6)
o Perch (ages 7–10)
o Crappies (ages 11–13)
o Bass (ages 14–17)
Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each age group.

• Scoring: Placements will be based on the total number of fish caught. In the event of a tie, the larger fish caught will determine the winner.
• Catch Reporting: All catches must be brought to the judges’ table in a bucket for documentation.
• Participant Requirements: Each child must bring their own fishing equipment and bucket.
• Supervision: Adult supervision is required at all times. Adults may assist with baiting and hook removal, but only children may fish.
